Glovicom recently installed a new sound system using Quad Industrial speakers, a Symetrix Symnet 24x8 Cobranet audio DSP matrix and Australian Monitor amplifiers for the brand new auditorium of Toyota France in Valenciennes. The Symnet audio matrix handles 24 input sources and routes them to 8 different speaker zones, including Quad Industrial Forum 12 front speakers with 2 Forum15 Subs, and 5 zones of Quad Industrial Concourse C6 ceiling speakers, all powered by 3 Australian Monitor multi channel amplifiers. A powerfull sound system, well conditioned by the Symnet system, introducing speaker management, microphone signal threatment and adding delays where needed, in this complex auditorium, that can be seperated into 3 independent rooms.

The final result confirms again that a good choice of complementary products, the hands on experience in setting up DSP audio matrix products and the interaction between supplier and installer is one of the basic grounds for delivering a system that makes the user feel comfortable....

AV-Studio installed the first Symetrix Symnet system, using the brand new 'Acoustic Echo Cancelling' functions, in the EuroNav meeting Room in Antwerp. The install was finished the day after the AEC function was released in the latest Symnet Designer 6.01 software version and was well accepted by the end-users.

The system used a Symnet Express Digital Audio Matrix, together with Australian Monitor amplifiers, Quad Industrial speakers, Astatic microphones and a Sony

video-conferencing codec.
